Soumaya Botto, mother of three and graduate in programming and systems analysis, is the founder and current director of Bonbon Glass, a company she launched on September 1, 2019. Before getting married, Sumaya worked as a technical supervisor at Libyana Mobile Phone Company, where she managed a team of 12 sales employees. After her marriage, she devoted herself to her role as a housewife. However, when her family faced financial difficulties due to the war and the closure of banks, Sumaya made the bold decision to turn her passion for making sweets into a source of income to support her family. What started as a small project, “Bonbon Glass,” has now grown into a thriving start-up that has enabled Sumaya to achieve the financial independence she had always dreamed of. Through her business, she has also created employment opportunities for two young women and remains committed to using local and sustainable ingredients, reflecting her deep concern for the environment and her community.
