RABEEAH MOHAMED MAHMOOD

A graduate in English language studies, Rabeeah has 23 years of teaching experience. Her entrepreneurial journey grew out of her passion for baking. She began by renting premises, which she divided into two areas: a production workshop and a small display and sales space. During the start-up phase, she had to learn how to better meet customers’ expectations and manage a commercial activity that was new to her. Through SheLeads, Rabeeah received training, guidance and funding, enabling her to structure the business and accelerate its development.

The business produces and sells healthier pastries made with natural ingredients. It received microfinance support, opened its first outlet after the programme and created three jobs. Its revenue has increased by 40% to 60%. The business’s main current need is to acquire electrical equipment that can preserve its products for longer. Rabeeah aims to increase the number of production lines, expand her customer base and build a recognised brand in the healthy treats sector.
