Present in Lebanon since 2026, Super Novae works to preserve access to education and strengthen the psychosocial resilience of children affected by conflict, displacement and disruptions to essential services.
Through temporary learning spaces, we provide children with a safe environment where they can learn, participate in recreational activities and receive appropriate psychosocial support.

For several years, Lebanon has faced overlapping political, economic and social crises that have weakened public services and increased the vulnerability of Lebanese, refugee and displaced communities.
Conflict and population displacement have severely disrupted access to education, particularly in areas directly affected by hostilities. Many children have experienced prolonged interruptions to their education, the loss of their daily routines and repeated exposure to violence, displacement and uncertainty.
As of June 2026, more than 700,000 people remained displaced in Lebanon. According to UNICEF, 340 schools had been damaged or destroyed, putting the return to learning of at least 100,000 children at risk. More than one million children required humanitarian assistance.
In this context, maintaining access to education is not only about ensuring the continuity of learning. Educational spaces also provide children with a protective, stable and structured environment that is essential to their well-being and recovery.

What do we do
Super Novae works in Lebanon to improve access to inclusive, protective education tailored to the needs of children affected by the crisis. With the support of Frontlines for Peace, we have established two temporary learning spaces with the capacity to welcome up to 110 children. These spaces provide non-formal education sessions, educational and recreational activities, psychosocial support, and a safe, inclusive and protective environment supervised by a local education team. The project mobilizes six teachers and a psychologist to help children resume their learning and cope with the emotional impact of conflict and displacement. By working closely with communities and local stakeholders, Super Novae ensures that its response is adapted to the context, respects the “Do No Harm” principle and addresses the specific needs of each child.
What's next
In Lebanon, Super Novae aims to extend its support to the most vulnerable children and families, particularly in areas where access to education and psychosocial services remains severely limited.
We seek to establish additional learning spaces, strengthen the capacities of local professionals and support more children affected by conflict, displacement and prolonged interruptions to their education.
In the longer term, our ambition is to contribute to an integrated response combining education, protection, mental health and community resilience.
